Some of the recommended trusted organisations are:

  1. NTU - this will allow NTU to pull your data from ORCID to the University's integrated systems e.g. RISE. Doing so can save you the time and trouble of inputting the same data repeatedly in multiple systems.
     
  2. Author identifiers - e.g. Scopus Author ID and ResearcherID - choose your preferred author identifier to link your details and publications to ORCID. Avoid choosing multiple author identifiers for ORCID linking as this can result in publication duplicates in your ORCID.
     
  3. Publishers - grant permission to publishers that you publish often with, so that each time when you submit your manuscript to them electronically, your ORCID ID will be updated with new publications when you publish with them
     
  4. Publication metadata sources e.g. Crossref Metadata Search and Datacite - this will allow your ORCID Id to be automatically updated when DOIs for publications and your data are published.
