When you grant an organisation "trusted organisation" status in ORCID, you can give them specific permissions to interact with your record. The permissions fall into a few categories.

You can grant an organization permission to

  • Get your ORCID iD
  • Read your limited access information
  • Add or update your research activities
  • Add or update your biographical information

Note: no one other than you or a trusted individual can read items that you have set to be visible to only you.
