Export from Google Scholar
Google Scholar doesn't have a direct export-to-ORCID feature, so you'll need to go through an intermediate step:

  • Go to your Google Scholar profile
  • Select the publications you want to export (tick the checkboxes, or select all)
  • Click the Export button and choose BibTeX format
  • Save the downloaded file

Importing into ORCID

  • Log into orcid.org
  • Go to the Works section
  • Click + Add works → Import works from a BibTeX file
  • Upload your BibTeX file
  • Review the entries and select which ones to add
  • Click Save

Tips:

  • Always review for duplicates before saving — Scholar and ORCID may already share some records
  • ORCID lets you set a preferred source per work if duplicates exist
  • This BibTeX upload option has some limitations. Please see BibTeX issues and troubleshooting
