NTU has a statutory licence with CLASS - http://www.class-singapore.com/ and hence multiple copying or communication is permissible for the purpose of a course of education provided by the University provided the following conditions are met:

For literary, dramatic, musical or artistic works:

- a max. of 10% of total pages, or 1 chapter, (take the greater) OR 10% of total bytes, - electronic.

For articles within a periodical publication:

- 1 article from an issue of  a periodical, or two or more if on the same topic.


Do note that if such copies are made, NTU must maintain records of the copying or uploading stating the date it was done and that it was on behalf of NTU. Copyright owners are entitled to make a written request for remuneration from NTU within the prescribed time after the copy or communication has been made.
