DMPs are to be created, submitted and updated via the NTU research information system (RISE). From 18 June 2020 onwards, Principal Investigators (PIs) of new research projects would be prompted to create and submit their DMPs using the latest DMP template (version 3) in RISE.

For new projects wef 18 June 2020:

  1. PI will be assigned DMP task prior to account creation.
  2. PI can reassign the task to staff or student to assist with DMP completion.
  3. If PI is not the submitter, DMP will be routed for PI’s approval before it is accepted for submission.
  4. Once DMP is accepted, Research Administrator and HOD (ACR) will be notified of the submission.
  5. No approval required if PI is the submitter.
  6. After award is created, DMP is to be submitted under the variation name ‘Data Management Plan Update’.

Note: DMPs previously submitted in RIMS will be fully migrated to RISE by 1 Nov 2020, after which all updates will be performed by submitting a variation - ‘Data Management Plan Update’ in RISE.
