NTU Library is committed to providing an inclusive environment for all users. We offer a range of accessibility services to support users with special needs:
- Orientation Sessions: At the beginning of each semester, a library orientation for SEN members will be held to help users become familiar with the facilities and services.
- Proxy Borrowing: Users who are unable to visit the Library in person may authorise someone to borrow items on their behalf.
- The appointed person must be a current library member.
- When your proxy borrows for you, they have to borrow at the Service Desk
- Your proxy does not need a separate card/pass; they can let us know they are your proxy, and they want to borrow for you
- The loans will then be loaned out to your library account.
- Book Paging: We provide book paging service for SEN students to bring library materials to a library that is more convenient for you.
- Electronic version of prints: Subject to availability of e-versions by the publisher.
- Advice on and/or Loan of Assistive Technology and/or Devices (AT):
Whilst the Library does not provide this service, the Inclusion & Accessible Education team (I&AE) supports students with special educational needs (SEN).
For the above services, kindly submit your request to aeu@ntu.edu.sg, and it will be forwarded to the Library.
