You can retrieve newspaper opinion articles using Nexis Uni. 
In some newspapers, guest opinions are known as op-ed.
Usually, many newspaper opinion sections operate under the guidance of an editorial board.

Let's say that you are looking for opinion articles on Singlish in Nexis Uni.

  • Go to Nexis Uni > Select Advanced Search

 

  • Next, select the News tab.  Within News, go to All Fields and click Section.

  • Next, type opinion in the Section search box and type in the keywords singlish  and Singapore in the search boxes.  Click Search.  

  • 61 results would be retrieved.

  • Click on the article title to view the full text.

  • You may also use the various filters such as timeline on the left hand side of the page to narrow down your search.
